Two volumes of AP Physics notes, written with two seniors

Through Grade 10 and Grade 11 I worked with two upperclassmen to develop a comprehensive set of study materials covering the core concepts of AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C — then tested it on the students who needed it most.

Formulas, difficult theories and error analysis

Building the study guide

We systematically organised key formulas, summarised difficult theories, sorted out high-frequency exam questions, and added detailed step-by-step solutions and error analysis to help students avoid common mistakes. We also included concise notes, diagrams and practical examples to turn abstract physics concepts into understandable content — published as two volumes.

Working with two seniors was part of the design: they had already sat the exams, so the guide could be aimed at the places where students actually lose marks rather than at the syllabus in general.

Our achievement: the AP Physics: Algebra Based cover, whose inscription reads ‘a process of self-growing and gaining’.
Building the guide: entering codes in Overleaf and printing them out, then selecting the most important points against our school and the AP College Board syllabi.

74 printed copies, more than 150 students

Distribution and tutoring

So far we have distributed 74 printed copies of our study guides and benefited more than 150 students on campus, helping them build confidence and improve their efficiency in learning physics.

Beyond written materials, we offered personalised one-on-one tutoring for peers struggling with homework, test review and challenging problems. We also created a dedicated physics study group chat, where students could ask questions freely, share learning strategies, discuss difficult topics and explain concepts to one another. This initiative fostered a supportive, collaborative and active learning atmosphere, allowing more students to overcome their fears of physics and make steady progress.

The formula table from the guide, organised by quantity, symbol and unit — my own hand-written part of the notes came to 74 pages.
